Newly rebranded BLS Pharmaceuticals (ASX:BLS) has capped off a transformational financial year, reporting record revenue, profitability and operating cash flow as the company continues its evolution into an international pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution business.
The June 2026 quarterly update marks a significant milestone for the former Bioxyne Limited, representing both its strongest financial performance on record and its first major market update since officially rebranding as BLS Pharmaceuticals.
Management described FY2026 as a pivotal year, with the business continuing to shift away from its legacy identity towards a diversified pharmaceutical platform centred on regulated manufacturing, international distribution and commercial partnerships.
Record Revenue and Profitability
BLS reported quarterly revenue of $22.5 million, up 5% on the previous quarter and the highest quarterly result in the company’s history.
For the full financial year, revenue reached $74.98 million, representing 156% year-on-year growth and landing at the top end of the company’s previously issued guidance of $65 million to $75 million.
Profitability improved even more sharply.
Adjusted EBITDA climbed to a record $19 million, an increase of 190% compared with FY2025, also finishing at the upper end of guidance. The result reflects increasing operating leverage as manufacturing volumes rise and international sales continue to expand.
Cash generation also strengthened throughout the year.
The company generated $6.3 million in positive operating cash flow during the June quarter, while customer cash receipts reached $20.7 million for the quarter and $72.9 million across FY2026, representing annual growth of 125%.
BLS finished the financial year with $13.3 million in cash, up from $8.5 million at the end of the March quarter, further strengthening its balance sheet ahead of future expansion initiatives.
A New Identity Reflecting a Broader Business
The financial results coincide with one of the most significant corporate changes in the company’s history.
Following shareholder approval in June, Bioxyne officially adopted the name BLS Pharmaceuticals Limited, reflecting the growing importance of its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations through subsidiary Breathe Life Sciences.
The rebrand is more than cosmetic. It signals management’s intention to position the company as an international pharmaceutical manufacturer rather than a domestic healthcare business.
Today, BLS operates regulated manufacturing capabilities in Australia while expanding its commercial footprint across Europe, the United Kingdom and Japan.
Its Breathe Life Sciences division has developed into one of Australia’s more comprehensive GMP manufacturing platforms for controlled medicines, including medicinal cannabis products and, subject to regulatory frameworks, emerging psychedelic medicines such as MDMA and psilocybin.
Standing Apart in Australia’s Healthcare Sector
BLS also occupies a somewhat unusual position among ASX-listed healthcare companies.
While many life sciences businesses remain pre-revenue or largely dependent on clinical trial milestones, BLS has built a commercial model around pharmaceutical manufacturing and product distribution.
Its strategy combines several complementary businesses, including:
- GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing
- International distribution
- Regulatory and quality expertise
- Controlled medicines production
- Global commercial partnerships
This diversified approach has allowed the company to generate meaningful recurring revenue while continuing to expand internationally.
What Comes Next?
The FY2026 result suggests BLS has largely completed the operational foundations required for its next phase of growth.
With record revenue, record EBITDA, positive operating cash flow and a stronger cash position, the company enters FY2027 from its strongest financial footing to date.
The next challenge will be maintaining that momentum.
Continued international expansion, higher manufacturing utilisation and further growth across regulated pharmaceutical markets will all be important if BLS is to sustain the rapid growth achieved over the past year.
For investors following Australia’s evolving pharmaceutical manufacturing sector—including medicinal cannabis and emerging psychedelic medicines—BLS Pharmaceuticals is increasingly distinguishing itself as one of the few companies successfully combining commercial scale with profitability.
