BLS Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: BLS) has appointed Zivana Crestani as Strategic Partnership Director, adding to the company’s commercial leadership as it expands its pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply and distribution operations.
Crestani’s new role will focus on developing strategic partnerships, identifying new market opportunities and supporting commercial growth across BLS’s network of pharmaceutical, healthcare and industry partners.
The appointment comes as BLS continues to expand following its rebrand from Bioxyne earlier this year. The company has been building out its pharmaceutical platform through its wholly owned Breathe Life Sciences business, with operations spanning Australia and international markets.
Breathe Life Sciences operates a GMP-licensed pharmaceutical platform covering medicinal cannabis and other controlled medicines, while BLS has also been developing capabilities in emerging therapeutics.
Its Australian manufacturing operation is licensed to produce MDMA and psilocybin for authorised purposes, including clinical trials. This gives BLS a potential role in the supply and manufacturing infrastructure that could support these medicines as they progress through clinical and regulatory development.
As Strategic Partnership Director, Crestani will be responsible for building and strengthening commercial relationships, supporting market expansion and working with pharmaceutical, healthcare and industry stakeholders to identify new opportunities.
The appointment follows a period of growth for BLS. The company reported FY26 revenue of $74.2 million and adjusted EBITDA of $19.0 million, while setting a FY27 revenue target of $105 million to $115 million.
BLS has also continued to expand its commercial partnerships, including a manufacturing agreement with global cannabis company Aurora Cannabis and an agreement with Trexapharm covering the Australian commercialisation of TREXAVIVE.
These partnerships form part of BLS’s broader strategy to provide manufacturing, distribution and market-access services to pharmaceutical and healthcare companies operating in regulated markets.
For the psychedelic medicines sector, BLS’s manufacturing capabilities could become increasingly relevant as compounds such as psilocybin and MDMA progress through clinical development and, potentially, towards regulated therapeutic use.
Crestani’s appointment adds dedicated commercial leadership to BLS’s partnership strategy as the company looks to build relationships across its pharmaceutical platform and expand its presence in international markets.
